Below are some examples of the Art Department work I've done for student films and other projects.
"Great Gorm"
I worked with a team to create the looks for each character. We, then, went thrifting to find these elements. All the jewelry that "Gorm" is wearing and the picture frames around the room, are just a few of the examples.
I also helped create the fake blood splattering special effect.

Set up in progress...

Painting plexiglass to resemble a fish tank.

The hand-painted mermaid of our lagoon.

Painting over an old set wall while someone else builds a chair in the background.

Walking through my team's part of the story.

Examples of the walls we built & the size of the room.

"Cyberpunk Peter Pan"
This project was an immersive walkthrough performance. My team was in charge of building the Mermaid Lagoon part of the story. Since the lens we told our story through was "cyberpunk", we decided to make the lagoon a rundown club.
This performance took place inside one average sized classroom. We built the walls and hung the curtains to section off each part of the story. (In total, there were 7 different "rooms"/sections built.)
In our design, we built a fish-tank-like wall using plexiglass, hand-painted the mermaid, club sign, and fish, strung up clear, plastic balls to resemble bubbles, and hung up a sequin curtain to be our waterfall. The lighting and sound designs were also things our team created.
Circus Photos
For the Media Department mixer, my team was in charge of designing and building the "photo booth" set. We shaped the wooded mirror frames, cut holes in them for the lights, painted the optical illusion backdrop, and hand-crafted the props. (All props except the 3D printed fish.)
"Hold Still"
On this project I was the set decorator. The motel we filmed at already had a lot of furniture that was "on theme", so my job was to enhance that feeling. I added those longhorn prints, the bluebonnet coaster, and the Texas mug the actress is holding.
